Rob sez: "Yo, Hoy, Etc.! In one month we three psychodots will play our first electric show of 2016. The idea sprang from two bands' mutual desire to do something nice for Jerry Gillotti, who's had a terribly hard year (first robbed and beaten, then loss of his son, Steve). We figured packing his club with super nice people would make him smile. I produced an EP for 33 People an eon ago and love 'em as much as their cult following, and speaking of cults, I'm pretty sure fans of both bands will dig the double bill. We drew straws and dots shall open. We're really psyched about this show. C'mon!"

Kate Wakefield is a uniquely expressive cello player and singer who is constantly pushing the boundaries of live solo performance. Using just a looping pedal, a cello, and her voice, she creates heart wrenching walls of harmonies in a matter of seconds.
Originally from Ann Arbor Michigan, Kate moved to Cincinnati with the dream of being a professional opera singer. After completing her master's degree in operatic performance from Cincinnati's Conservatory of Music, she worked as an opera singer only to discover that she didn't quite fit into that world of carefully practiced gestures. In 2014, she left a promising career in opera- to write and play music that feeds her soul. She plugged her old cello-an instrument that she grew up playing as as a kid, and her voice into amplifiers and delay pedals and began to create.
In November of 2014, Kate independently released her first album titled "Eyes in Walls are Louder". This album is a dark and layered work, with operatic hints from her past woven in. Memorable tracks from the album include the haunting song, "Home", as well as "From the River"- a more stripped down tune with a dry, dark sense of humor. Her latest EP "Water Lungs" is a four song release from 2015. This album, as well as her live shows helped her win Cincinnati Entertainment Award's title of Best Songwriter in 2016.

"In a perfect universe, the Psychodots would be millionaires and you'd know all their songs and Justin Bieber would just be some cute kid trying to date your daughter."-Rod Lockwood, Toledo Blade
"It was, in a number of words, a standard psychodots show, which means one of the best shows you'll ever see, local or otherwise. Long may they reign."-Brian Baker, CityBeat
